EPortfolio OverviewStudents will first choose two fitness components (see below) to focus on over a ten week period. Students will then research and individually measure each chosen fitness component. Students will develop an improvement plan focusing on increasing each component by the end of the ten week unit. Students will analyze and assess their individual results. All eportfolios will be in digital form and emailed to Mr. Weaver on or before the due date.
Health Related Fitness Fitness Muscular Strength: Muscular strength is ability of a muscle to exert a maximal force through a given range of motion or at a single given point. Muscular Endurance: Muscular Endurance refers to the capacity of a muscle to exert a submaximal force through a given range of motion or at a single point over a given time. Cardiovascular Endurance: Cardiovascular Endurance is the ability to continue training the cardiovascular system for a period longer than twenty minutes (on average). Flexibility: Flexibility is the ability of a joint to move through a full range of motion. Body Composition: Body Composition is the ratio of lean body mass to fat body mass. Skill Related Fitness Agility: The ability to rapidly and accurately change the direction of the whole body in space. Balance: The ability to maintain equilibrium while stationary or moving. Coordination: The ability to use the senses and body parts in order to perform motor tasks smoothly and accurately. Power: The amount of force a muscle can exert. Reaction Time: The ability to respond quickly to stimuli. Speed: The amount of time it takes the body to perform specific tasks. EPortfolio Links |

A description of your daily warm up, activities performed in detail and cool down. Be sure to describe where you were for these activities home or school. Each entry should be informative for all the days that you worked on your program so that I know you were trying to reach for your goal. Your goal should be met by your findings in your post test.
